CBSE: Class 10th Exam Cancelled, 12th Postponed
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board exams for Class 10th will not be held this year in 2021 and the students will be promoted to other classes on the basis of their internal assessment, told Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (Education Minister) on Wednesday, Apr. 14.
He said the government has postponed Class 12th examinations till May 30, 2021 & The board will issue a revised schedule for Class 12th board exams on June 1 after accessing the situation.
Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal told that the decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Various high level Authorities in which the officials decided not to conduct the CBSE exams of class 10 this year.
Talking about the previous schedule, CBSE board exams for 10th and 12th were accorded to be held between May to June. Results were likely to be announced by mid-July.
“The Committee will review the COVID-19 situation and accordingly will come up with the report on June 1” told Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.
