Government must ensure resumption of studies in schools: EJAC President
Kupwara: President Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu Kashmir (EJAC) Fayaz Ahmad Shabnum Sunday said that since the Covid-19 second wave has by and large diminished across Jammu and Kashmir, the LG dispensation must ensure resumption of studies in schools at the earliest to thwart more loss to students.
Shabnum said that since all activities be it sports, picnic or others already stand resumed then why government is reluctant to resume physical mode of education.
Fayaz was addressing employees Covid awareness rally in Town Hall Handwara.
He said that Divisional Administration especially Div Com Kashmir PK Pole has done outstanding job to curb Covid second wave.
He said that since experts have warned about the possible third wave of Covid, so people should continue to follow all the Covid SoP’s.
He impressed upon LG administration to redress all long pending issues of employees at the earliest.
Replying to a question about the termination of employees, he said that government should not be discriminatory towards employees who according to Shabnum happen to be the back bone of government.
Later, a felicitation ceremony was also held in favour of EJAC President who is completing sixty years of government service in the prevailing month.
The programme was organized by EJAC Kupwara in which officials all across Kashmir valley participated.
