Cancellation of OMR based Objective Type Written Examination conducted for the posts of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, UT Cadre, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, under Item No.106.

dated 31.08.2022 from General Administration Department.

 

NOTIFICATION WHEREAS,

the Finance Department, vide Indent No.

dated 19.11.2020 FD/Coord/08/2020

and 20.11.2020,requisitioned/referred, 972 posts of Accounts Assistant, UT cadre for

 

direct recruitment to the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB); and,

WHEREAS, the JKSSB, vide Advertisement Notification No. 04

of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, invited online applications from eligible

 

candidates for participating in the selection process for the aforesaid 972 Posts; and,

 

WHEREAS, the OMR based Written Examination for selection

against these 972 posts was conducted: at various venues across the UT

 

of J&K on 06.03.2022; and, WHEREAS, the Result/Score Sheet of the candidates who

appeared for the said examination was notified vide

 

No.SSB/COE/AAF/2022/4007-15 dated 21.04.2022; and, WHEREAS, after the declaration of Result/Score Sheet, some

newspapers/online news portals carried reports of alleged irregularities in the said examination; and,

 

 

WHEREAS, the General Administration Department, vide Government Order No. 687-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 10.06.2022 read with Government Order No.715-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 20.06.2022,

 

constituted an Inquiry Committee to look into the alleged irregularities in

 

the Written Test for these aforesaid posts of Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department; and

 

WHEREAS, the General Administration Department, vide letter No. GAD-MTGORBIV/135/2022-09-GAD-(Part-1 dated 31.08.2022,

 

conveyed the instructions for cancellation of the OMR based Written Examination held on 06.03.2022 for the posts of Accounts Assistant,

 

advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020; and,

 

WHEREAS, the matter was deliberated in the Board in its 209″ Meeting held on 31.08.2022 and it was decided in light of the instructions from General Administration Department to cancel the OMR Based Objective Type Written Examination for 972 posts of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department); and, Now, therefore, in view of the above, the OMR Based

 

Objective Type Written Examination for the post of Accounts Assistant, Finance Department, advertised vide Notification No.04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, under Item No.106, conducted on 06.03.2022, along-with the result/score sheet, notified vide No.SSB/COE/AAF/2022/4007-15 dated 21.04.2022, is hereby cancelled ab-initio.
