Rain in ‘spells’ likely to continue in J&K till June 22: MeT
Srinagar, Jun 20 (KNS): Meteorological department Srinagar center on Monday forecasted intermittent light to moderate rain in spells in Jammu and Kashmir till June 22.
A Met department official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that there was possibility of heavy light rain at “scattered places” of South Kashmir and Jammu region from Tuesday afternoon to forenoon on Wednesday.
He said that currently the weather is cloudy with light rain at scattered places of Kashmir & isolated places of Jammu.
He added that intermittent Light to Moderate Rain in spells is likely to continue till June 22, however, there will be overall improvement from June 23 onwards.
Meanwhile, Srinagar received 0.9 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours and recorded the minimum temperature at 13.5°C, while Qazigund had 9.6 mm of rainfall and recorded temperature at 10.4°C.
Officials added that Pahalgam received 5.0 mm of rainfall during the time and recorded minimum temperature at 7.6°C, while Kokernag had 12.8 mm of rain and 9.3°C minimum temperature and Gulmarg received 4.8 mm of rain during the time and recorded a low of 4.4 °C. (KNS)
