Two HKM GDC Bandipora Students Triumph in Pencak Silat, Head to National Championship
In a spectacular showcase of talent, two young athletes from HKM Government Degree College (GDC) Bandipora, Sabahat Afreen and Tabinda Majeed, have earned the honour of representing the University of Kashmir at the upcoming All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship for Women. The championship is scheduled to take place at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, from January 24th to 26th, 2024.

The journey to this prestigious competition began with the Pencak Silat inter-university trials held at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar. Sabahat Afreen’s exceptional performance not only caught the eye but also reflected her unwavering dedication and skill in the discipline. Alongside her, Tabinda Majeed showcased commendable skills, earning herself a well-deserved spot for the Nationals.

As the duo from HKM GDC Bandipora gears up for the national stage, their achievements at the trials have not only secured them a chance at the prestigious competition but also brought pride to their institution.
