University of Kashmir | Notice regarding reopening of affiliated Private Colleges



In light of decisions taken in the meeting held on Feb. 17, 2022 under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor for opening up of affiliated Colleges, the following directions are communicated to the concerned which need to be followed in letter and spirit.


All the private colleges which were on winter break shall open for offline class work w.e.f 21-02-2022;

The Principal of a College should ensure that whole College campus is fully sanitized and proper cleanliness and Hygiene in maintained in classrooms, Labs, Library, Reading room, sports complexes, Canteen, etc.



All students shall produce vaccination certificates to attend the classes in offline mode and shall be subjected to random checks for COVID symptoms by thermal scanners or visual observations especially class rooms, laboratories, library and canteens.


The College need to make arrangements for this.

Over-crowding should be avoided under all circumstances. Adherence to SOP’s notified by concerned Government Agencies from time to time is mandatory. Detection of any positive case should immediately be reported to concerned

authorities and standard procedure should be followed for isolation, quarantine etc.



Only candidates who have received both doses of vaccine should be allowed in the classrooms. However, the College should arrange special vaccination drive for the

students in collaboration with the J&K Health Deptt.

All concerned Principals shall ensure the conduct of remedial classes within a week’s time in case some classes or days are lost due to any eventuality in future.


The loss should be compensated in either offline or online mode.

The Colleges should keep the hostels ready for the students by ensuring sanitization before the commencement of class work.
